Dr. Daniel Hillel, a well known author and researcher in soil physics wins the 2012 World Food Prize. Dr. Hillel will be awarded this distinguished prize for conceiving and implementing a radically new mode of bringing water to crops in arid and dry land regions - known as “micro-irrigation.”
