PhD scholarship in geoarchaeology

Aarhus university has just advertised an open call for a 3-year PhD scholarship in geoarchaeology focusing on the geochemistry and/or micromorphology of (early) medieval Ribe, where a new excavation funded by the Carlsberg Foundation will start this summer, and Odense (Denmark). The deadline is 1 February.

The post is strictly limited to 3 years, so a degree of previous experience in soil science, archaeology or geochemistry is expected, and preference will likely be given to candidates with demonstrated ability in either geochemistry or micromorphology.
Familiarity with (early) medieval/Viking/urban archaeology is also a plus.
