Commission 4.2. Soils, food security, and human health
Officers
Mission
The mission of Commission 4.2 is to promote research and
education on the role of soils in sustaining the world's
food and environmental security and human health. Soil function
is intimately tied to food security and human health. Society
is sustained generation after generation only if the soils
remain productive. Integration of the physical, chemical,
and biological properties of soils with land management
will lead to sustainability. Thus, providing science-based
information to policy makers will help decision makers to
develop policies that sustain soil, food production and
human health.

 |
|

 |
To promote the integration of sub disciplines
of soil science within and among the other sciences
